Julian Roach Physiotherapist
Julian graduated as a Physiotherapist from Laurea University of Applied Sciences, Helsinki, Finland in 2003. Over the next 6 years, he worked part-time as the Head Coach and Physiotherapist of Finland’s, Men’s, National Cricket Team, participating in European competitions.
In 2008, Julian, became a specialist in Musculoskeletal physiotherapy at a London teaching hospital. He then spent a year providing pitch-side physiotherapy cover for the Crystal Palace Football Club’s 11-15 age groups.
Julian has had extensive experience in post-surgical rehabilitation for anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) repairs, back surgeries, lower limb and shoulder surgeries. Currently his main areas of interest are sport-specific rehabilitation, treatment of Achilles tendon pain, plantar-fasciitis pain, and treatment of adolescent athletes. He performs running assessments to determine foot-strike pattern, enhance running performance and manage running injuries.
Julian was a Lead Therapist coordinating treatment at the basketball venue at July 2015’s Pan Am games. He works with the York North Basketball Association Avengers U-19 Junior girls and U-16 Boys.
